Research Question: How do Internet of Things based smart lighting products impact the lives of adolescents (15-18 year-olds) and adults (35-55 year-olds)?

This is a 4000-word research paper (Extended Essay) I completed in high school for the International Baccalaureate Programme. Specifically, I accomplished the following:

• Conducted a survey of 80+ people (15-18 year-olds & 35-55 year-olds) on the implications of smart lighting products in their lives
• Interviewed 2 senior executives of Philips Lighting for expert opinions
• Analyzed and visualized results and made a market positioning proposal on smart lighting products for both adolescents and adults

Theme: What Home Means To You

One day, an angel appears in front of an old man and asks him what his final wish is. The player will then answer by delivering his diary to the angel, and the angel will take the old man to different stages of his life that are written in his diary. The player will obtain a momento at each stage after solving a puzzle. Throughout the game, the old man recalls what's truly important to him as well as what home means to him. In the end, the player has to put themselves into the old man's shoes and choose the momento that represents "home" to them, leading to different endings.

For this assignment, I created a campaign for Crypton Future Media (the company of Vocaloid, a singing synthesizer software). The campaign, Vocaloid Beats, in collaboration with Lady Gaga and many Vocaloid artists, consists of an online music production contest where the winners will win the VOCALOID software and add-on voicebanks, as well as a concert ticket to the biggest Vocaloid tour in the U.S., the Hatsune Miku Expo. I proposed and planned the campaign, wrote Twitter and Instagram posts, and created the landing page of the campaign.

For this assignment, I created a campaign called Copic JumpCopic Jump is an art contest where contestants have to submit one original artwork to the official Copic marker website within the month of November. In celebration of its 50th anniversary, the contest is in collaboration with Weekly Shonen Jump, a weekly shonen manga anthology published in Japan, which is the longest-running and best-selling manga magazine. I proposed a Facebook ad and a landing page with details of the contest.
